Maria refused to sell the condo because she needed time to qualify for Section 8 housing. Instead of seeking employment, she chose to apply for Section 8, a process that can take quite a while.

Essentially, Maria transitioned from fraudulently having me cover her mortgage payments to relying on government assistance through Section 8 housing.

The irony is that Maria often ranted about people who depend on government support, all while portraying herself as financially conservative. It’s a classic case of hypocrisy—like the pot calling the kettle black.
